Using the USB-C audio input on MR1 Mk3

This answer applies to:

  • MR1 Mk3

MR1 MK3’s aptX HD Bluetooth receiver allows high quality sound to be streamed wirelessly, but if ultimate sound is your priority, the plug and play convenience of MR1’s USB Audio input allows you to quickly connect and play from devices such as Laptops, Tablets and many Smartphones with up to 24bit/96kHz resolution

To use the USB Audio input, use a good quality USB-C cable or adaptor to connect the USB AUDIO IN socket on the MR1 speakers to a USB output on your USB audio source.

Select the USB source on MR1 by pressing the control knob until the USB LED illuminates or press the USB key on the included remote control.

Start audio playback. The volume control on your USB audio device will also control the volume on your MR1 speakers and vice-versa.

PLEASE NOTE: MR1 Mk3 speakers only function as a USB client, meaning the USB audio input only works with a USB host, such as a computer or smartphone. They will not connect with another USB client, such as a USB CD player.
