High Fidelity Music System

On looks alone, our first MiE Project radiates quality, but run your hands over R5 MiE and you can feel the dedication that’s been spent on each component. Equally, assembly is not rushed and like a fine Swiss watch, each unit was individually hand-assembled and tested at our headquarters in Southend on Sea, Essex.

In design, unique to R5 MiE was the slatted wood grille. Hand-crafted from multiple layers of walnut veneer bonded to a black substrate the tolerances on this needed to be exact, so the slats blended perfectly with the machined alloy display assembly.

Adding further to R5 MiE’s individuality was the veneer that clads the enclosure. With truly green credentials, these veneers are man-made from commercially grown sustainable woods. By cutting, colouring and recomposing back into logs the resulting veneers can closely mimic protected rare woods such as rosewood, but for R5 MiE we chose a modern yet sophisticated veneer pattern, giving each a unique eye-catching look.

With multiple layers of lacquer applied along with hand sanding between coats, R5 MiE has a lustre of finish that only time and care brings.

For the audio, we carried over the enhancements we created for our limited edition R5 Signature. With revised routing of key signal paths, high purity oxygen-free speaker cables and our STEREO+ sound processing, R5 MiE produces a natural and detailed sound-stage that extends way beyond its compact dimensions.

With limited production runs, over the coming years, we expect our MiE project products to become increasingly sought after. Most importantly our MiE Project aims to produce unique and special products without compromise for customers to appreciate and enjoy for years to come.
