Resolving Hum and Buzz issues

When connecting other audio devices such as a turntable or subwoofer to your MR1 speakers, you may occasionally notice a hum or buzzing noise. This is typically caused by grounding issues or ground loops between the external device and your MR1 speakers.

Grounding issues and ground loops are typically caused when audio equipment does not have a common ground. Most turntables include a grounding wire that should be connected to the Ground terminal (5) on the backof your MR1 speakers. This should help to eliminate or greatly reduce the unwanted noise. If the issue persists, try connecting the ground terminal on your MR1 speakers to a suitable grounding point. Using high quality interconnect cables and keeping them away from power cords can also help.
