To check which DAB stations are available in your area, we recommend you use this postcode checker. Signal strength can vary depending on your location and where the unit is placed. Weak signals may cause distorted sound on DAB (burbling) or background hiss on FM.
Like TVs, radios need a strong signal to perform well. In most cases, the supplied telescopic aerial—fully extended and upright—should suffice. However, if you’re in a remote area, a steel-framed building, or one with thick walls, an external aerial is advisable. Even in areas with good reception, an external aerial can enhance performance and expand your station range.
If your model includes Internet Radio, we recommend using it. It eliminates the need for a telescopic aerial and generally offers better sound quality and a wider selection of stations.
