How do I set-up RS1 for use with R410?

As a starting point we recommend setting the crossover frequency on RS1 to around 60-80Hz. Then play music you know well and adjust the subwoofer volume level so it blends seamlessly with your R410, filling in and enhancing the low bass frequencies.

Depending on your room acoustics some experimentation will be required to get the frequency and volume level right, but when set correctly, you should be unaware that RS1 is working and it should sound as though all the bass is being produced by R410. Fine tuning will be down to your own sound preference, but if you are aware that the subwoofer is working then the frequency or volume is set too high. To prove that RS1 is working correctly, all you need to do is turn RS1 on and off whilst listening to a track with good bass content. When off you should hear the scale of sound diminish slightly but restore once power is reapplied.
