Can I connect a TV to your products?

Most modern TVs have an optical output and with an optical lead it is easy to connect this to the optical TOSLINK input on the rear of our products. You will probably need to adjust the TV settings so the sound output of the TV is set to PCM Stereo and diverted through its optical output, but once connected you will enjoy a vast improvement in sound over the speakers that are found in most TVs.

Some TVs also now have Bluetooth transmitters built in, so you can wirelessly stream your TV sound to our products. This is convenient as no connection cables are required, but please consult your TV’s manual on how to do this.

All our 100 Series models (R410, R610 and R810) feature a HDMI ARC/eARC input, so if your TV has an ARC or eARC socket you should connect to this, but again ensure that the audio output is set to PCM/Stereo. With this method of connection, your TV remote will also automatically adjust the volume on 100 Series models and also turn the units to standby when the TV is turned off.
