Connecting a turntable to MR1 Mk3

MR1 Mk3 has a Moving Magnet phono gain stage built in, so it is ready to use with most good quality turntables.

To connect a turntable, connect to the PHONO IN sockets on your MR1 speakers and ensure that the Phono source is selected. Now, music you play on your turntable, will play through MR1.

If the volume of the connected turntable sounds quiet or loud compared to Bluetooth, you should adjust the audio input level to suit. How to do this is explained elsewhere here on our MR1 Mk3 Q&A's.

Please be aware that some turntables may have a phono gain stage built-in and if so, this should be connected to the LINE IN input using a stereo phono to 3.5mm jack adaptor. If you're not sure if your turntable has a built-in preamp, check the outputs and if you see line output shown, then there is a preamp built in.
