To connect by Bluetooth firstly you must ensure that you have Bluetooth selected as the source. From new your Ruark will automatically enter pairing mode after a few seconds and display ‘Awaiting connection…’. At this point you should enter the Bluetooth settings on the device you want to connect and again after a few seconds you should see your Ruark model displayed as a device you can connect to. Once selected, the pairing procedure can take a few moments, but once paired you should see ‘Connected’ appear alongside your Ruark model on your device and also you should see your devices name, displayed on the screen of your Ruark.
If you cannot connect your device firstly ensure that no other device in your home is already connected as your Ruark will automatically reconnect with the last known device if it is nearby, so please check this in the first instance.
If this is not the case, we suggest that you clear the pairing list on your Ruark and also clear all references to it on the device that you want to connect. To clear the pairing list on your Ruark press the MENU button and then turn the select/volume knob until you see ‘Forget devices’. Pressing the select/volume knob at this point will clear the list of any previously connected devices and put your Ruark back into pairing mode so you can again make a fresh connection.
