The easiest method to stream music from a Mac or Mac Book to R2 is to use the Bluetooth function, but if you are looking to use your Mac as a Music Server then you will need to install additional software to enable this to happen as Mac’s do not ship with a DLNA/UPnP server as standard (unlike Windows).
Below are links to the two third party DLNA servers for Mac which we have tried, but there are numerous others available. Simply Google “Mac DLNA server” or “DLNA on my Mac” and you should find plenty of options.
